DISBURSEMENT POLICY

Financial aid will not be disbursed until you have begun attendance for the semester.  By “disbursement” is meant application to your school account of financial aid funds.  If, after all disbursements have been made, there is a credit balance on your account, you will receive a “refund.”   This refund will be a check written to you and sent to your school mailbox.
Details of this policy will also be sent to you with your financial aid award letter.

No financial aid will be disbursed until the end of the drop-add period each semester (usually at the end of the second week of the semester).  After that, your federal grants and student loan funds will be disbursed to your account.   If there is a credit balance at that time, you will be issued a refund check.  The tuition scholarship will not be disbursed until the 60% point in the semester.  If the scholarship disbursement results in a credit balance on your account, you will be issued a refund check.  Outside scholarships and church gifts will be credited to your account as they are received. Please note that you must have remained a full-time student up to the required  point in the semester to receive the tuition scholarship.  If you withdrew from classes (or were administratively withdrawn) and it resulted in your being less than full time, you will not receive the scholarship.  If the scholarship disbursement results in a credit balance on your account, you will be issued a refund check.
