Field Education

Preparation for ministry is based on a two-fold approach at Saint Louis Christian College. We, as an institution, are committed to providing the highest quality classroom instruction possible. At the same time, we are committed to ensuring that each student, whether he/she is intending to be involved in vocational ministry or not, also integrate practical field experience into his/her education.

NOTE: Students are required to participate in MAP or Field Ed the entire time they are students at SLCC. Both programs are graded pass/fail and will appear on student transcripts. All students beginning their program in Fall, 2005 or thereafter (or those who enrolled prior to Fall, 2005 but took a break in their studies and returned Fall, 2005 or thereafter) are enrolled in MAP.

Field Ed is only being continued to grandfather in those who were continuously enrolled prior to Fall, 2005. If you have any question as to which program you should follow, please see the MAP Coordinator or Field Education Director.
